Pay Scale : Rs 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs 1900

Qualification : Matriculation or its equivalent under 10+2 system and Course completed Act. Apprentice OR I.T.I. in any of the following specific trades recognised by SCVT/NCVT - Fitter/Electrician/Instrument Mechanic/Mill Wright or Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Wireman/Tractor Mechanic/Armature & Coil Winder/Mechanic Diesel/Heat Engine/Turner/Machinist/Refrigeration & AC Mechanic OR

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering recognised by AICTE in lieu of I.T.I.

Candidates having higher qualification in the above mentioned branches can also apply.

Application/Examination Fees : Rs 40 in the form of Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order IPO.Women/SC/ST/Ex Servicemen/Minorities/Economically Backward Class candidates are exempted.Details of how to pay given in the detailed advertisement.


Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on the performance in the Written test and the Aptitude Test followed by Document & Candidate verification and Medical Examination

How to Apply : These vacancies are at different zones and candidates can apply through one zone only.Application is to be filled and sent to that specific zone RRB only.Application fees is also to be paid in favour of that specific Zone.Application format can be downloaded from the website/can take photostat copy of Format Published in Employment Newspaper.Application can also be filled online,printout of which needs to sent to the respective RRB's.Advertisement has been published in Employment News dated 13-08-2011 to 19-08-2011.Duly filled in application,examination fees and all required documents should be sent to the respective RRB's as per details given in the detailed advertisement.

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligibile Indian Nationals for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot in  different  Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and Zonal Railways  and other Railway organisation. Application should be sent directly to the respective RRBs / Zonal Ofifces :



Assistant Loco Pilot  : 16595 posts in different railway zones (UR-8170, SC-2695,ST-1589,OBC-4141) (Ex-SM-1648)



Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.1900,



Age : 18-30 years. Relaxation in age as per rules.



Application Fee : Rs.40/- for the OBC candidates only in the form of IPO / DD in favour of Assistant Secretary/Secretary/ Member Secretary/ Chairman of  concerned RRB where candidate wants to apply.
